Venue
St James
Address
St James, Church Lane Chapelthorpe Wakefield, WF4 3JG, United Kingdom

Good Friday is the day in which the worldwide Church commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

On Good Friday there is an understanding that Christians will refrain from eating meat. Traditionally, there is no Eucharist which includes the consecration of the host. A service with readings and communion still takes place however, the hosts are taken from reserve, previously consecrated from the Eucharist on Maundy Thursday.

All are welcome to attend this service as we come before the crucified Jesus.
