All are welcome as we hear the Nativity Story and sing Christmas Carols.

A brief history of what is for many a tradition that goes back through many generations. Lessons and Carols began with Bishop Edward White Benson in 1880 in Truro, England, as a way to create a service for all the family. The service's modern, globally recognised format was established in 1918 by Eric Milner-White at King's College, Cambridge, to provide a spiritual and uplifting service to the community following the First World War. The service has since been adapted by many churches and is now a popular worldwide tradition.
