Christ the King

Welcome to the Church of England parish of Christ the King, Battyeford. You'll find details of our regular services and events on this website, but for full details and information on events and more, please visit our website and follow us on Facebook  and Instagram.

CtK is located on the western side of Mirfield, and we serve just short of half its population. We seek to live out Jesus' call to loving service of all those who we come across, in our church and in our neighbourhoods. We are a community which is rich in diversity and open to change. People tell us when they visit (and stay) that we are a welcoming community which has made them feel comfortable. We have a vibrant musical tradition, with a choir and music group able to lead lively praise as well as instil quiet reflection. We look forward to welcoming you at one of our many services, groups and events.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Battyeford: Christ the King is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [https://christ-the-king.co.uk/safeguarding/] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://christ-the-king.co.uk/safeguarding/]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
