A short service with talk and prayers
Common Worship Holy Communion, with hymns, lasting about one hour.
With organ music and a small choir. Some of the responses may be sung.
Readings and a sermon, following the lectionary.
All are very welcome. Please introduce yourself, and join us for refreshments after the service.
This alternative service is suitable for all ages, all abilities and welcomes everyone.
It is held in Wellow Village Hall (NOT at St. Margaret's church).
All ages and abilities are welcome to this fun, creative, Christian service. There will be practical activities, songs, Bible story, prayer, games AND we will eat a small meal together. If the weather is dry there may be outside activities too.
There will also be a Coffee Corner for the grown-ups, and a soft play area for little ones.
There is no charge for this service - a collection plate will be available if you feel you would like to contribute towards catering and craft costs.

Today's service of Holy Communion will be shorter than usual and without hymns/organ - because we will be saving ourselves for the Carol Service later at 6pm!
It will follow the usual pattern of Holy Communion, with readings, a sermon and time for prayer. It will be a restful, reflective space in the midst of all our Christmas busy-ness.
Following the traditional 9 Lessons and Carols format, we will enjoy festive favourites accompanied by the organ and led by our choir. There will be Bible readings to lead us through the ages, listening to prophecies of the birth of Jesus, the Messiah, and finishing with a well-known contemplation of Jesus as The Word of God.
Afterwards we will share mulled wine and minced pies (alternatives also available) in good company - a perfect evening out in your Christmas preparations.
Remember, Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

We usually sit together in the choir stalls and you can use either a printed service sheet or the Prayer Book.
