Jesus Chapel, St Mary Extra commonly known as Pear Tree Church
Pear Tree, a warm, welcoming and friendly church is set on the east bank of the river Itchen in Southampton.
Jesus Chapel is a picturesque Church on Pear Tree Green and believed to be the first Church of England built(1618) and consecrated(1620) place of worship after the reformation.
The Reverend Miles Newton has been appointed Priest in Charge at Pear Tree, from the 12th June 2011. He will be caring for Pear Tree along with his current parish of St Mark's Church, Woolston. Monday is his day off.
