Good Friday: The Day Love Held Nothing Back

Good Friday is the day we remember the death of Jesus.

It is not easy.
It is not comfortable.
And it is not meant to be.

This is the day we stand at the foot of the cross and witness love at its most costly.

Jesus is betrayed, abandoned, and crucified.
And yet, even here, there is no anger — only forgiveness.
No retaliation — only mercy.
No giving up — only love poured out.

“Father, forgive them…”

Good Friday invites us to be still.
To reflect.
To face both the brokenness of the world — and the brokenness within ourselves.

And yet, it is not without hope.

Because even here, in the darkness, God is at work.

At St Anne’s, we’ll gather for a quiet time of reflection and Holy Communion — making space to pause, to pray, and to remember.

You are welcome to come and sit, watch, pray… or simply be.
