Easter Day Dawn Fire Service

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Anne, Alderney
Address
Between Victoria Street and Rue de l'Église Alderney, GY9 3XA, Guernsey

Before the world wakes…
Before the island stirs…

We gather in the early morning light.

The Easter Dawn Fire Service begins in darkness — just as that first Easter began in uncertainty and grief. But as the fire is lit and the sun begins to rise, we remember what changed everything:

Light has overcome darkness.
Life has overcome death.

This is not just something that happened long ago — it is something we step into, here and now.

There is something powerful about marking this moment together, outdoors, as a new day breaks over Alderney.

A simple fire.
Ancient words.
A shared hope.

Join us at 6am as we welcome the dawn of Easter Day — whether you come every year or are simply curious, you will be very welcome.

Breakfast with hot drinks will be served after the service!
