The West Malvern Arts & Music Festival is all about celebrating the creativity, talent and community spirit at the heart of our village.

Over two days at St James’s Church, we’ll bring people together through music, art, friendship and fellowship, enjoying performances, local creativity and simply the pleasure of spending time together in a beautiful and historic setting.

Concluding the day’s activities on Saturday 19th September, we are delighted to welcome the Jenny Lind Singers to St James’s for what promises to be a truly memorable evening of beautiful singing.

As the first day of the West Malvern Arts and Music Festival draws towards its close, the church will provide the perfect setting in which to sit back and enjoy the warmth, richness and harmony of this accomplished ensemble. After a day celebrating art, music and community, their voices will fill St James’s and bring Saturday’s festivities to a fitting and uplifting conclusion.

Join us at 7.30 pm for an evening in which music takes centre stage — a chance to pause, listen and enjoy the special atmosphere of live choral singing in one of West Malvern’s most beautiful and intimate settings.

A wonderful finale to a day of creativity and community — and an evening not to be missed.

Choral Evensong

To bring the West Malvern Arts & Music Festival weekend to a fitting close, we will gather at St James’s Church, West Malvern, for a traditional Choral Evensong, sung according to the beautiful tradition of the Church of England.

We are delighted to welcome the visiting Choir of St Augustine’s, Edgbaston, whose music will fill St James’s as the festival draws towards its conclusion.

After a weekend celebrating art, music, creativity and community, Choral Evensong offers a quieter and more reflective finale; the timeless words of the liturgy, psalms, canticles and anthems sung in the setting of our historic church.

Holy Communion from The Book of Common Prayer

The Holy Communion service from The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) is the traditional Anglican Eucharistic liturgy is held on the 1st Wednesday of the month, at 10.30 am, mostly led by The Reverend Nicholas Menon.
