St. Leonard's is the private chapel of the Beauchamp Almshouses (now called the Beauchamp Community) and Mass continues to be celebrated daily.  On Sundays and all major feasts and festivals in St Leonard's itself and weekdays in the medieval Cloister Chapel of All Souls.  A warm welcome is extended to anyone who wishes to join us for worship on Sundays or weekdays.

This magnificent Grade I listed church was commissioned for Anglo-Catholic worship by the 3rd Earl Beauchamp and completed in 1864.  The Chaplain is assisted by retired priests living in the Community, all of whom maintain our proud tradition of Anglo-Catholic worship.

Our website explores the history of the historic buildings which include St Leonard's, the almshouses, choir school, medieval chapel, cloisters, theological library and the Grand Hall.  The lavish Clayton & Bell frescoes which adorn St Leonard's are considered to be one of their masterpieces.

Information regarding individual visits and group tours of the chapel and historic buildings may be found on our website.
