Bellringing at St Michael's Church in Bricklehampton

he bells at Bricklehampton were cast in 1807 by Thomas Mears and sons of the Whitechapel Bell Foundry London.

Most of the bell fitting also date from this period making the ring unusual. The sliders are of a latch type construction.

For most of the 20th century the bells lay in a derelict state and were un-ringable.

During Covid it was decided to bring these bells back to a fully ringable condition. This has now been achieved and the bells are rung on various occasions.

The bells are in a minor key but are bright in tonality.
