Dear Friends, Michael has kindly written a Thought for this week, (attached) pondering on the meaning of the Trinity and also mentioning Derek Smith, who sadly passed away on Sunday 1st June aged 89. We will all miss Derek who was such a lovely, kind man and an encouragement to others. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. Derek's funeral service will be held on Monday 23rd June at St Andrews Church Bishopthorpe at 11:30am, followed by a committal service at the Crematorium at 12:20pm. I sent an extended "weekly notices" for the AAA Benefice on 28th May, but just in case I'm including the dates from now to 22nd June. Dear Friends,Welcome to this week’s bumper edition of the notices! I’m away on holiday for a couple of weeks so I'm keeping you all informed about what's coming up in the next 3 weeks. The only unconfirmed event is evensong with the Methodists on Sunday 15th June. It’s on the schedule of services as 2:30pm but we are discussing changing it back to 6:30 for the summer this Thursday (29th) at HTAM PCC. If there are any changes I will send out a quick note on Friday 30th. Do find time to skip over to the Drawn to Imperfection art exhibition at St Giles Cop this week – it’s really worth a look and should spark some interesting conversations. Also don’t forget that Acting Archdeacon Liz Hassall will be with us at Holy Trinity on Pentecost Sunday (8th June). She will be presiding at the Eucharist and giving us a pastoral update about Rev.
