Dear Friends,

Michael has kindly written a Thought for this week, (attached) pondering on the meaning of the Trinity and also mentioning Derek Smith, who sadly passed away on Sunday 1st June aged 89. We will all miss Derek who was such a lovely, kind man and an encouragement to others. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. Derek's funeral service will be held on Monday 23rd June at St Andrews Church Bishopthorpe at 11:30am, followed by a committal service at the Crematorium at 12:20pm. I sent an extended "weekly notices" for the AAA Benefice on 28th May, but just in case I'm including the dates from now to 22nd June. Please note the change to the timing of Evensong this Sunday.Rachel
