Who's Who at Everilda's

Our Vicar is Reverend Simon Biddlestone. Simon can be contacted at [email protected] or on (01904) 868581. A photo of Simon is attached.

I have had the privilege of being Vicar in Poppleton since October 2020. Since arriving, I have been struck by the friendly and welcoming people at both of our churches and also in the wider community.

As well as being Vicar here, I am also Vicar at Holy Redeemer Acomb (on Boroughbridge Road) and am Chaplain at our local secondary school, Manor CE Academy.

Our vision is to be a loving church family, growing as disciples of Jesus, and helping others to meet him and this vision underpins all that we do.

Whoever you are, you will always find a warm welcome at our churches.

If you would ever like to get in touch, please do not hesitate.

Our Churchwarden is Lynda Salmon, you can contact her at [email protected] or on (01904) 220107. A photo of Lynda is attached so you can recognise her if you come to church or visit our church grounds and below is a message from Lynda to introduce herself.

Welcome ! My name is Lynda Salmon and I have the privilege of serving as the church warden at St Everilda’s church, Nether Poppleton. I, together with Mark and Mike, who serve as church wardens at All Saints Upper Poppleton, are volunteers chosen by the parishioners to act as lay people who are the voice of the parishioners. We are elected each year and have a role on the PCC as church representatives.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing in worship and fellowship in our beautiful church.
In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog Poppy, reading copious books of any genre, gardening, swimming and spending time with my two young grandsons.
