Members of Alne Church welcome all visitors to our friendly church. We have Holy Communion every Sunday starting at 10.30 am followed by refreshments including tea, coffee and biscuits. We currently have a vacancy for a Priest-in-Charge though we have a Reader (Carmel Gittens) and are well supported by local retired clergy. On fourth Sundays we share the service with our Methodist friends, the service being led alternatively by Anglican and Methodist clergy.
A full range of services takes place at Christmas and Easter as well as services at harvest time and Remembrance Sunday.
On the fourth Tuesday of each month we hold a Coffee Club at the church starting at 10.30 am. There is a kitchen servery at the church.
We are involved with Alne Primary School which holds a Harvest Service and a Christingle in the church each year. Visits to the church by the pupils take place regularly.
Each year the church is involved with Alne Street Fayre (usually the second Sunday in June) and also has a programme of social events including concerts, flower festivals and talks.
