St. Mary's

Our Mission Statement is :

"We are here to worship God through Our Saviour Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit to make Christ’s Love and Peace known in our community."

Welcome to St Mary's Strensall. If you're new to the church, or new to the area, we'd love to get to know you. We are currently running regular in-person services, but you can also find some previous services on our YouTube channel . Find out about our community on our website https://www.strensallstmarys.org.uk/ or facebook at https://www.facebook.com/stmarysstrensall/

We have 2 services each Sunday at 9.30am Holy Communion and 11am Informal Service.

We are also here for baptisms, weddings and funerals. Please get in touch with us and we will be able to help you.

The church is open on Wednesdays 9am-noon for quiet prayer and reflection.

Our baby and toddler group, Little Fishes, takes place on Tuesdays, 9.15-10.45am in term time. Our last session for the summer term is Tuesday 18th July 2023. We meet in Spearehead Hall, next to the church. All babies, toddlers and their group ups are very welcome to come along.

Safeguarding

The parish of Strensall St Mary the Virgin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
