Welcome to your parish church in Dunnington!
Our church building is now open for private prayer twice a week. You are welcome to come in on Thursdays 10am to 12noon and Sundays 3pm to 5pm. We take very seriously our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults entrusted to the church's care.
We have a Safeguarding Representative for the Benefice of Rural East York, which includes St Nicholas, Dunnington and also Holy Trinity, Holtby; Holy Trinity, Stockton on the Forest; and St Mary's, Warthill churches.
All PCC members and others in positions of responsibility have been through the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) process and are familiar with our Child Safeguarding Policy and Adult Safeguarding Policy, which were last updated in November 2018. The policies are on display in each church within the Benefice.
Our current Safeguarding Representative is Mary Murray. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mary or our Rector Nick Bird. Contact information is available at http://stnicholasdunnington.org.uk/about-us/leadership/.
