Churches with a heart - at the heart of our communities.
We are two churches - St James's, Murton and St Thomas's, Osbaldwick whose aim is to be a friendly, inclusive, and happy church family in Osbaldwick, Murton and Derwenthorpe.
God’s generous love inspires us to:- serve our local community,
- be radically inclusive and welcome everyone,
- celebrate the history and care for the heritage of our ancient buildings,
- and through all this, to praise and worship Jesus Christ.
There is one Sunday service a month at St James's Church on the second Sunday at 4pm.
Please click on the link to our website below for all our upcoming services.
Everyone is welcome and our church is open from 10am - 4pm daily.
Please note we are now in vacancy: For any enquiries please contact the Church Wardens on 01904 411058 or 01904 416497 or by email: [email protected]
"Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSO), Eileen Hallam and Glen Hallam.
Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSOs or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://dioceseofyork.org.uk/our-diocese/safeguarding/].
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
