Church of England Diocese of York Carlton and Drax

St Mary's, Carlton, North Yorkshire

Welcome to our church in the heart of Carlton.  Whether you are a resident in the parish or just visiting, we'd love to see you at our family friendly service - 11am on Sundays.  It's the perfect place to meet new people and find out more about your community.

We have a regular programme of events whatever your age.

For further information about what's on, please check out our news and events page or find us on Facebook @StMarysCarlton.   We look forward to meeting you.

We take COVID risk assessments seriously and respond to current government guidance. Please ensure you take your own precautions when coming to see us, such as registering for a COVID pass and wearing a face mask.

The parish of St Mary's Carlton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

We have our family service and cafe church on December 4 and December 18 when we'll be thinking about how to enjoy Christmas and celebrate the birthday of Jesus.

Today we held an impromptu service at 12 noon to remember the contribution to the church and our community and nation the Queen has made.
