This Lent we have been enjoying a weekly bun sale after school with hot chocolate, crisps and cakes. Why? Not the traditional Lent activity but we decided this year to think about our neighbours oversees. The 50p raised for each cake has been added up and we have now raised enough for two toilets and one tap to be twinned with communities oversees. We wanted to help when we found out how big a difference it can make to people who don't have a toilet to flush. It's frightening that children can die from diarrhea and other problems just because there isn't enough water to wash their hands or flush the loo.
