About Us

St James' is a family-friendly church, open to the guidance of God's Spirit. Though the congregation of St James' includes both local people and those living further away, there is a strong sense of family and community, and visitors are always given a warm welcome. We have several small 'cell' groups that meet in people's homes mid-week to worship, pray and discover more of what the Bible says about how to live life Jesus' way.

In 2009 we launched the Edge Community - a Fresh Expression of Church. Led by two Church Army evangelists, the Edge Community seeks to share the love and good news of Jesus Christ with the people of the Flaxley Road Estate.
