Church of England Diocese of York St. Hilda York

St Hilda's York

Welcome to St Hilda's website. Our building is on Tang Hall Lane, York, near the Co-op, and although our building, like all places of worship, is currently closed, we, the people who normally worship in our lovely building are maintaining a praying presence at home for our community, and individuals are active in helping those who have to be in isolation with practical support and keeping in touch.

St Hilda's Parish Church York is part of the Church of England, and the Diocese of York and is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
