St Alban

Withernwick is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire.  It is situated approximately 10 miles north-east of Hull City Centre and 5 miles south of Hornsea.

The grade 2* listed building dates back to 1115 with the first vicar (Reginald de Holand) taking up his position in 1259.  The dedication to St. Alban was recorded in the early 16th century.  The church today was re-built and opened on the 12th April 1855.  There are still signs of the older church to be found
