As part of the local community, we host several groups during the week:
Bridge Club
The Willcott Bridge Club meets in the church hall every Tuesday from 12.45 to 4.00 pm. We have currently 60 members and a typical attendance of 10 tables, 40 players.
Our membership is diverse and inclusive. We are a friendly club and welcome experienced bridge players as well as those who have had tuition and wish to step up to regular playing. We run a Find a Partner scheme.

Brownies
Every Monday during term time from 6.00 pm to 7.15 pm in the church hall, led by volunteer leaders.
Brownies are girls aged 7 to 10 years old, and we try to accommodate all girls. Girls work in small groups called sixes, led by a sixer.
At Brownies, we follow a fun and creative program covering a wide range of activities and skills. Girls work on skills builders badges covering things from communication, first aid, teamwork, to outdoor activities. We have unit meeting activities which give us a chance to try new things and develop skills, including DIY, exploring nature, craft and design. Girls can earn badges at home following their own interests.
As a team, we try to have a balanced programme so all girls have the opportunity to excel and take pride in their achievements. Most of all, Brownies like to have fun developing skills, being creative, playing games and singing songs
Healing Rooms
Every second Monday of each month at 2 pm, St Barnabas Church hosts The Healing Rooms in the chapel.
All are welcome to attend for prayer.
No appointment is necessary.
The prayer ministry is free and confidential, and people of any faith background or none are welcome.
We also offer refreshments in our lounge area for those who would just like to pop in for a coffee and a chat.

Swanland U3A
We are an autonomous U3A under the aegis of the Third Age Trust, our national body.
We are a registered charity and open to anyone not in full-time employment, though our members tend to be retired or approaching retirement.
The motto of the U3A is Learn, Laugh, Live. We have talks twice a month, on a variety of subjects, and this is also a social opportunity for members, as we have tea and coffee afterwards.
We also have almost 50 interest groups, based on shared learning, some in members’ homes, some in hired premises. Our activities aim to keep bodies and minds active in a friendly and supportive environment where people can make friends and feel welcome.
