St Barnabas Swanland

St Barnabas is a Church of England (Anglican) church in the village of Swanland, East Yorkshire, 7 miles west of the city of Hull.

Our church is made up of ordinary people; we're not perfect but are continuing to discover the changes that Jesus can have in our lives. We offer a warm welcome to anyone to come along to any of our meetings and experience this themselves.

Our Sunday services are lively and informal, and we offer activities for different age groups throughout the week. As part of the local community in Swanland, we love to share happy events such as weddings and christenings as well as being here to help during some of life's difficult times.

If you want to find out more then please call or e-mail, either for a chat or to arrange to see our vicar. Alternatively, just turn up at one of our services or midweek events, or pop into the reception area inside St Barnabas' front door during parish office hours in the week. We'd love you to join us as we continue to learn more about Jesus and better understand what it means to follow His example today.

God bless

Revd Kevin Barnard (Vicar)

Safeguarding

Our parish of Swanland is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [Rob Marshall, 07914 668907 or email [email protected]]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
