The Twentieth Sunday after Trinity

“They brought Jesus a denarius, and He asked them, ‘Whose image and inscription is this?’ They answered, ‘Caesar’s.’ Then Jesus said, ‘Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.’”
This moment shows Jesus turning a trap into a teaching, reminding His listeners that earthly obligations have their place, but devotion to God comes first.
