Hearts Full of Love – Helmsley Christmas Tree Festival will fill All Saints’ with beautifully decorated Christmas trees celebrating the people, places and things we love about our businesses, organisations and community. Come and enjoy the displays, soak up the Christmas atmosphere and visit our pop-up café on Saturdays. Entry to the festival is free, with donations welcomed in support of All Saints’ Church and the British Heart Foundation.
The festival opens on Friday 27 November, following the Helmsley Christmas Lights Switch-On, with a special opening service at 6pm involving Helmsley Community Primary School.

St Chad

Welcome to this little church, allegedly the smallest in North Yorkshire having only 9 pews.  Originally built in the 1640s as the chapel of West Newton Grange, it stood a mile or so away from the present site and by the mid-19th century was used as a barn.  In 1879 it was moved and rebuilt, stone by stone, to provide the people of Sproxton with a church.  The architects, George Gilbert Scott Jnr and Temple Moore, kept the 17th century feel with its unusual square shape.
