About Us
St Andrew's is a friendly church serving the people of Middleton, Aislaby and Wrelton.
The church building contains some remarkable Jellinge style Viking/Christian crosses.
A Saxon tower with over 30’ of stonework still in use as the base of the later mediaeval tower
An internationally significant Anglo – Scandinavian Collection of funeral carvings and other artefacts
A Fine Norman nave Medieval additions to the church including the roof beams Stained Glass in the south aisle
A pulpit from which Wesley is proven to have preached
The church building is open daily from dawn to dusk, and is a beautiful place in which to sit quietly and offer prayer.
