St Margaret’s Church, Brookfield is launching a new fortnightly service for families called “Family Church at 4” and which will run through the Summer.

These services will focus on children, their parents, grand parents and carers as we learn about God in a fun, informal and interactive way.

A simple tea will be served at the end of the service. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

“The Bereavement Journey®” is a place to talk; it is a free 7-week course for adults who have experienced bereavement at any time or in any way. Using short videos and discussions, we will gently explore the impact of grief and bereavement.

Our “Bereavement Journey®” course starts on Monday 8th June 2026 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the Parish Room attached to Stainton Church, Hemlington Road, Middlesbrough TS8 9AG, and continues on the following six Monday evenings. Local lifts are available for non-drivers.

Over the weekend of Saturday 27th to Monday 29th June 2026 Stainton Church is celebrating its Patronal Festival to mark the Feast of St Peter and St Paul. On Sunday 28th June there will be:

At 6.00pm – 8.00pm an Organ Recital followed by some light refreshments. Our former Bishop of Whitby, the Rt Revd Paul Ferguson, has kindly accepted our invitation to give a recital on the beautiful traditional pipe organ in Stainton Church. There is no admission charge to attend the concert – free tickets will be available soon, to help with catering - but generous donations to Stainton Church to support it work in our Parish of Stainton with Hemlington will be gratefully received.

We very much look forward to welcoming Bishop Paul back into our midst … and to welcoming all the people who attend this time of fellowship and hear our fine organ being played.

Joint Church Family (Plurality) "5th Sunday Special" Communion

This is a "Special" Holy Communion Service that rotates around the group of churches on the fifth Sunday of the Month. The services will be as follows:

Exceptionally on the 4th Sunday in March ie 22nd March 2026 at Hilton, followed by refreshments and then an option to participate in a local litter-pick;

31st May 2026 at Brookfield, followed by a BBQ in the Vicarage garden;

30th August 2026 at Stainton, beginning outdoors; and

29th November 2026 at Hilton, to celebrate the beginning of Advent.

Each month the three Churches in the Plurality meet together to share Holy Communion
