Welcome to the Whitby Deanery! We comprise twenty six church communities set in the stunning and inspirational landscape of the North York Moors, and taking in a sweep of the North Yorkshire Jurassic Coast from Staithes to Robin Hood’s Bay. All our churches have something special about them and represent a continuous Christian presence in the area stretching back over 1,400 years. Whether you are visiting the area or live here, you will find a warm welcome in all our church communities, where you can discover the great Christian and cultural heritage which makes this part of North Yorkshire so special.
