The language used by the church and occasionally by us all, to discuss faith, religion or belief can often be confusing, misinterpreted and for some alienating. The purpose of this small group is to create a space where language and concepts can be explored safely, and greater insight developed. The group meets every two weeks and is open to all, of faith and no faith. A space to listen, share and question.

Do come along and experience something a little different. Please contact Reverend Anthony for further information: [email protected] or 01947 899843.

Based on our ongoing discussions and feedback, we’ll continue to develop our new Benefice teams focussed on Pastoral Care, Ministry, Sustainability and Funding/Community Engagement.

Each of our teams, including people from across our villages, are beginning to take the load off our four parochial church councils (PCCs) by working collaboratively on common priorities.

All are welcome to come along. Food and refreshments will be available from 5.30 pm. It would be helpful, for catering, if you could let Reverend Anthony know if you're coming. Please text 07484735284 or email [email protected].

Address

All the churches across Middle ESK Moor are supporting the Benefice Good Old Days Music Hall evening and Auction of Promises, which will be held at the Robinson Institute in Glaisdale on Saturday 15th November between 7pm and 10pm. The evening will be a Good old fashioned Music Hall style event, so it would be fantastic, but not mandatory, if you came dressed for the part. We are asking, at this early stage, for people to come forward with ideas and offers of promises, it can be anything from cutting someone's grass, cooking a meal or anything you feel you can offer. Our Auctioneer will take bids from the audience and the funds raised will go to both the Air Ambulance and the churches of Glaisdale, Lealholm, Egton, Grosmont and Goathland.
If you have any promises to offer or wish to find out more, please contact Stephanie Spink on 07885 638451 or [email protected].
