We are a friendly church. We have a fairly traditional but relaxed style of worship, and our all-age worshipping community aims to live out and share God’s love with those around us. We offer a warm welcome to all.
Our services have returned to "in-Church"; our 9:30am Sunday morning Parish Eucharist is also live-streamed via our YouTube Channel; we also have Communion services at 8am on Sundays and 10:30am on Wednesdays. Monday to Thursday we have Morning Prayer at 9:30am (Tuesday 9am) and Evening Prayer at 5pm in Church. We have other regular services - see our calendar, subscribe to our newsletter or email us for details.
Our Church building is currently open every day during the day time - the website calendar has details of opening hours.
The parish of Harpenden: St John is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St Albans's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
You are very welcome at our Advent and Christmas services and events – bring your family and friends or come along on your own. Whether it will be your first time at church or you have been before, we look forward to welcoming you!
