A lone drummer led the uniformed groups, local society representatives and villagers through the streets to the church. With colours held high, everyone lined up in silence around the memorial. The act of remembrance was led by the Rector, Fr Chris Giles. As Kirk Pearson, Chairman of the Kedington Royal British Legion, read the names of the fallen in both World Wars from Kedington, Barnardiston and the Wratting, named poppy crosses were laid by the youngest of the uniformed groups. The bugler played The Last Post, the colours were lowered and all stood silent for 2 minutes. The bugler played Reveille and the standards were raised again. As music played, the wreaths were laid, one from each local organisation.
