The Church at The Hut is intended to meet the needs of people who feel more comfortable in an informal setting than in a more conventional church service. The congregation comprises around 40 members of all ages and cultures -- the newest member is only six months old!
We meet each Sunday at 10:30am starting with songs of praise.
The service includes: personal testimonies, prayer, bible readings with related talk or video clip and plenty of opportunity for open discussion. There is a break midway for refreshments and a chance to get to know new members and to catch up on what's been happening to friends during the week. There is a separate programme of supervised childrens' activities for the growing number of children attending with their parents.
The service is designed to be interactive as we live in an age when people don't just want to listen but to participate and learn through debate. This new style of service has proved very popular and is enjoyed by an increasing number of regular attenders, many of whom would not otherwise go to church.
