Welcome to St John’s, Studley, a church seeking to serve God and our community with warmth, faithfulness, and friendship.
Our Sunday morning worship follows the traditional pattern of Common Worship, with hymns, Scripture readings, prayer, and a sermon that connects God’s Word to everyday life. Most Sundays we celebrate Holy Communion, gathering around the Lord’s Table in reverence and thanksgiving. After the service, we continue our fellowship over tea and coffee in the church hall, because church is not only about worship, but about sharing life together.
During the week, Chat Café meets every Monday and Wednesday from 10:00–11:30am in the Parish Centre. Fresh coffee, homebakes, conversation, and simple companionship are always on offer. Whether you fancy a chat or just a quiet cuppa among friends, you’ll find a warm welcome.
At St John’s, there is no dress code, no insider knowledge required, and no expectation that you have it all sorted. Whether you’ve been part of church life for years, are exploring faith, or simply looking for community, you are very welcome here.
Safeguarding
The parish of Studley: St John the Evangelist is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Salisbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
