St Johns, Studley

Welcome to St John's, Studley.

We are a parish church in the Church of England, seeking to worship God faithfully, grow in the life of Christ, and serve our local community with warmth. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, returning to church after many years, or looking for a place to belong, you will find a warm welcome here.

Our worship is rooted in the Church of England's Common Worship tradition. Holy Communion is at the heart of our Sunday worship, with vestments, sung responses, Scripture, prayer, and a reverent but welcoming style. We stand within the catholic tradition of Anglicanism, valuing the sacraments, the seasons of the Church's year, and the worshipping life handed down through the Church.

Each Sunday we gather to encounter God in Word and Sacrament, to offer our prayers and praises, and to be renewed for the week ahead. Our worship seeks to be both beautiful and accessible, drawing on the riches of the Christian tradition while speaking to the realities of everyday life.

After our Sunday service, we gather in the church hall for tea, coffee, and conversation. It is a chance to get to know one another and to continue the fellowship we share in worship.

Throughout the week, our Community Chat Café meets every Monday and Wednesday from 10.00am to 11.30am in the church hall. With fresh coffee, home-baked treats, and friendly company, it is a place where neighbours become friends and everyone is welcome.

At St John's, we are learning together what it means to follow Jesus Christ. Whatever your background, wherever you are on your journey of faith, we would be delighted to welcome you.
