Dear Friends,
Back by popular demand! To celebrate the new season, you are gladly invited to our St. Luke’s celebration bring-and-share lunch, to be held immediately following the service on Sunday 20 September, on the lawn next to the chapel.
We will gather and set up 5 picnic tables, each of which can accommodate 8 persons.
In the attached sign-up sheet, please let us know if you would be willing to host a table. Each host is in charge of one table setting, including a nice tablecloth, napkins, plates, silverware, and glasses. For ecological reasons, we will try to keep at a minimum any disposable tableware. Each table host is responsible for gathering their own utensils after the meal, to be cleaned at home.
The sign-up sheet also lists dishes, specific food categories, and drinks. Please feel free to select any number of items which you would like to contribute. FYI, we will not have access to any kitchen facilities at the school. Therefore, it will not be possible to warm up any dishes.
We will set up a common serving area for the buffet style meal. If possible, please prepare a label to identify your dish(es) - eg. quiche, etc
Our Chaplain Donald has an excellent track record in praying for good weather. However, should the forecast turn sour, we will contact you a couple of days before the event in order to suggest a suitable alternative.
Lastly, this September 20 we are adding another attraction, also immediately following the Sunday service: a rummage sale! Please bring several nice unused items (antique or not, but nothing broken or out of order) for 'sale'. No price tags necessary: purchasers state their own price, and the 'Amis' association receives all proceeds from the sale.
Please find below the signup link and QR code. We look forward to seeing you on September 20!
