VJ Day COMMEMORATION SERVICE

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Peters Church Monks Eleigh
Address
Church Hill Monks Eleigh Ipwich, IP7 7LG, United Kingdom

We will be holding on Friday 15th August 2025 a service to commemorate the anniversary of the end of the second World War which took place in the Pacific regions.
As we remember the many soldiers, sailors and airmen who gave their lives restraining evil and opposing tyranny, we give thanks for those who continue to strive for peace in our world as it is.
There will be a minute silence at 11am for all those who have laid down there lives and following the service there will be refreshments at the back of the Church.
The service is a very reflective and tender one and we hope you can join us as we pray for world peace.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Milden: St Peter is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of St.Edmundsbury & Ipswich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [add their details here or use the button to link to a page that shows the info] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [add their details here or use the button below to link to your own page that shows the info or the diocesan safeguarding page].
