RSPB Bird Watch in Wimbish Churchyard

Previous bird watching

The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch at Wimbish Church this morning had a good turnout of 13 people. It didn't rain and was a bit chilly so we all appreciated a hot drink and cake afterwards. Great to have a time to connect with nature and to mingle with each other. A red kite was spotted on a branch which was later replaced, on the same perch, by a kestrel. Obviously an observation spot for a meal! 20 starlings flew as a flock from the tops of the trees near the farm.Collared doves, bluetits, chaffinches, a robin, wren and a moorhen were amongst the other birds spotted.A successful ECO CHURCH event.
