St. Peter's, Scorton

We are one parish in three locations - sharing Christ & serving community

Everyone is warmly welcomed to our Church community, situated in lovely countryside.

Sunday Service at St Peter's is usually at 10.00am - this is a "Prayer and Praise" service. The exception to this is the first Sunday of the month when we have an Evening Prayer and Praise at 6pm instead.  Holy Communion takes place on the third Sunday of the month at 10am.

We hold all kinds of services and events during the Church year, including a number with the United Parish.

For up-to-date information on all of these please check our services and events page here and you can follow us on Facebook (The United Parish of Barnacre, Calder Vale and Scorton) and Instagram (our united parish) too!

St Peter's is one of 3 Churches in our United Parish.  Our two other church locations are St John the Evangelist in Calder Vale and All Saints in Barnacre - our Diocese is the Diocese of Blackburn.

The United Parish of Barnacre, Calder Vale and Scorton: St Peter's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
