This rich and evocative service includes daily psalms, readings and a chance to spend a few minutes in silent meditation which has been a staple and essential part of regular spiritual discipline since the time of Jesus and before. To be a true disciple we must be willing to look inside of ourselves and let God speak through the silence into the centre of our hearts. This rich and deeply enriching service is also currently available live online via our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/boxriverbenefice This service, sometimes also called Mass or Holy Communion, is the staple bedrock of the church. It is deeply evocative, and draws all present into the sublime mystery of the Lord's Supper. We explore scripture, pray and are caught up in the power of the ritual together, as one body. As we gather around God's Table and hear Christ's words to 'Do this is remembrance of me', we are drawn into a mystery of timeless truth and united with each other in a deeply spiritual way. As we kneel before the Holy Altar we do so with others of all ages, social situations, races, sexualities and nationalities. And we realise that we are all equal before the eyes of our Creator God. This is community as it was designed to be. All are welcome at this service, old and young.

This year we are going to be exploring the insights of Julian of Norwich through the inspiring book; 'The Way of Julian of Norwich' by Sheila Upjohn. Julian of Norwich was a medieval hermit who suffered from terrible illness. It was during one of these bouts, unable to leave her home, she was treated to visions of the loving nature of God. She recorded these in her book 'Revelations of Divine Love'. In order to prepare for the course you will need to purchase the book, which is available from Amazon in hard copy and Kindle version here: The Way of Julian of Norwich: A Prayer Journey Through Lent: Amazon.co.uk: Sheila Upjohn: 9780281083696: Books
A spiritual pilgrimage through contemplation of the Passion of Christ. Stations of the Cross has been formed as part of Christian devotion for many centuries as it enables us to engage actively with the path of suffering walked by Jesus through prayers.
As we are unable to meet for coffee, cake and a natter in person, you are invited to join us still via our live-stream link as follows: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81891605198?pwd=cEl5TytZZG14amlaRldCbXlmS1ZEdz09
