Accessibility

The church is in the city centre, very close to the Central Station, and there is a Metro station very close to the church.

Dogs on leads, including assistance dogs, are welcome.

There is an accessible toilet in the hall.

A hearing loop is available.

Our Sunday leaflets are available in large print if requested.

Baby-changing facilities are available in the hall.

There is a defibrillator in the hall.

Many of our guide leaflets are available in a variety of languages


Our Building

St John's is a Grade 1 listed building dating from 1130. We have guide leaflets in a variety of languages, as well as information about famous people connected with the church.

Although most of our stained glass dates from the 19th and 20th century, we have some glass from the 14th and early 15th century.

There are toilets including one with disabled access, in the hall.


Music and Worship

We share a team of bell-ringers with St Nicholas Cathedral.

We have a Harrison organ which accompanies our worship every Sunday.

Traditional language is used at our services.

Help for Visitors

Guided tours are available during Heritage Open Days.

We have guide leaflets in English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Polish and Chinese.

At present the church is open on Sunday and Tuesday mornings only, although we do our best to accommodate those who want to visit us outside these hours, if we're notified in advance.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
