The tiling in the chancel of the church was in need of attention - some tiles were loose, others were cracked, and the whole area was very much in need of proper professional expert cleaning. Our local Tile Doctor Kevin Parry has done what we think to be a very good job. Most importantly the loose tiles are no longer there to cause a trip hazard. We seem to have had a good observance of Christmas at Saint Peter's this year. Numbers of people in church were very pleasing. During Advent we reckon we had about 2860 people in church for one or other of the carol and nativity services and concerts. And the Christmas festival itself was well kept with, we think, 648 people (2024 number 561) people at one or other of the four Christmas masses.
