You will find a warm welcome at St Matthew's Church. We are at the heart of the community, and serve the people of Edgeley, Cheadle Heath and Bridgehall. 

We offer both formal and less formal styles of worship. We have groups for children and a creche area. Once a month, we sign one of our services for our friends in the deaf community. Please check our website for times of our services.

We are a very active church and offer a range of activities to support the local community. We have groups for people who feel isolated, a toddler group and a support group for refugees and asylum seekers. We work in partnership with other organisations, such as Quality Care of Cheadle, with whom we partner to offer the Socially Yours group for those who are isolated or vulnerable and Walthew House, who offer support to people with sight and/or vision loss.

We also work in the local community, with representatives acting as school governor's. Trustees to local charities and we are proud to support Olive ROC Centre, at the heart of the high street in Edgeley.

Throughout the year, we arrange table top sales, craft fairs, summer and Christmas fairs as well as our ever popular Heritage Open Days and Family Fun Day.
