St Alphege, Seasalter at the Old Church

The beautiful and ancient St Alphege Seasalter Old Church sits in a peaceful churchyard.  It seats a maximum of 40 people, is in regular use for (small!) weddings, baptisms and funerals, and for a monthly Book of Common Prayer communion service at 11.15 am first Sunday in the month.  Since the recent sympathetic refurbishment, uncovering and preserving much of the original, hidden features of the church, there are toilet and kitchen facilities on site and it is available for small groups to book for quiet days, prayer events etc.

SAFEGUARDING

Whitstable Team Ministry (PCC) is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Canterbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services
