About Us
St. James in the City is a new Anglican Church developing a fresh model of church in response to a modern city culture.
We started life in January 2009 and we meet in a marquee inside a Grade II* Listed building just off Upper Parliament Street (http://www.stjamesinthecity.org.uk/Groups/291279/Contact_Us.aspx). We meet at 10.30am and 4pm every Sunday.
We have five core values:
Love: Our central focus is meeting together to worship and glorify God. It’s what energises us to live for him.
Live: We seek to build strong supportive networks; providing friendship, family and a home to people from many backgrounds and nations.
Grow: We want to know more about Jesus, to live and become more like Him.
Serve: We're working to make a real difference in Liverpool and beyond, especially for those in need.
Build: Our vision is to see God's kingdom built locally, nationally and globally so that people come to know Jesus. Our aim: to train, equip, send and resource.
We are structured around a network of purpose groups which are small groups of people with a shared focus. We run courses to support people through different stages of life and faith and provide resources to stimulate both our brains and hearts.

The best way to discover who we are and what we are all about is to come to our one of our Sunday services, worship God with us and meet the church family.
