The church is open for tea coffee chat (Space to Be) every wednesday, including a short led service of Midday Prayer.

St John’s popular Community Christmas Tree Festival will take place again this year.

FREE entrance but donations are welcome to support the work of Newbury Soup Kitchen and Eight Bells for Mental Health, and there will be a Raffle.

Approximately 30 trees with lights, decorated by uniformed groups, schools, local shops and organisations will light the interior of the church – a magical sight.

Come and enjoy a sung service of Compline, Night Hour, at St George’s Church to continue the journey through Advent.

An annual feast of Christmas musical delights at St George’s Church, Wash Common. There will of course be lots of singing by the audience – rousing carols to cheer us all and send us home in good spirits!

Tickets are £10 adults, £5 under 18s and proceeds from the concert will be split between West Berkshire Homeless and St George’s Church.

St John’s Church will be supporting this ever popular community event at The Dolphin Pub, Newbury.

Held at the beautiful outdoor setting of Michael’s Church, Enborne, this service combines, music, poetry and symbolism to mark the winter solstice.

There is the opportunity to bring gifts which are then donated to Home Start, West Berkshire to support struggling families.
