St John's Downshire Hill

Welcome to St John's Downshire Hill, a Bible-believing Anglican church in Hampstead, NW3.  Visit www.sjdh.org for more information about us, including our services and what's on for adults, children, and young people.  We meet in person at 10:30am and 6:00pm each Sunday and both our services are live streamed.  Please click here to access the live stream on YouTube.  Updated information about what's involved in coming to any of our services during the Covid pandemic can be found on our website.

St John's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.  We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Church Safeguarding Officer (CSO).  The Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our CSO.  If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA.  If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

We meet each week as a church family to sing, pray, and to listen to God's word being preached. The children stay in the service upstairs with their parents for the first fifteen minutes or so before going downstairs for their own groups and activities after the children's song. Refreshments are served after the service.
