A Stunning Church with Glorious Acoustics, St Michael & All Angels dates mainly from the 15th century and is a light spacious building; the box pews are probably 18th century and can comfortably seat 100. There is a fine ring of 6 bells in a grand tower which was struck by lightning in the 18th century. The most recent rebuilding of the top was in the 1970s.
Our services are held a few times a year. These include a Harvest Service in October, Remembrance service in November and services for Christmas, Easter and for pets and animals in June. Our services are friendly and informal and our church is open to everyone. Opening hours daily are generally from 10 till 4 (or 10 til 5 in the summer months) and this is possible due to the kindness of our group of key holding volunteers.
We are also in the process of a project to revive our church and make it a hub for the whole community - for those of faith and those who come for a moment of peace or reflection, or because they care about the building. We have established a gardening group to care for the grounds and a beginners’ choir.
