A short mid-week service of Holy Communion

4 U community café is a central hub for the local residents of Kingsthorpe, Eastern Avenue. We are a non-profit making enterprise existing to serve the community, and any excess generated will be put back into the community.

We aim to provide local residents with an excellent café experience, serving beverages and breakfasts at a minimal cost. Run by volunteers from the local community

Join us on Sunday mornings for a welcoming service of Holy Communion. Rooted in scripture, prayer, and fellowship, this service offers space to encounter God through word and sacrament.

Worship: A blend of traditional liturgy and accessible teaching, with hymns and music to lift the spirit.

Community: All are welcome—whether you are a regular worshipper, exploring faith, or simply seeking a quiet moment of reflection.

Sacrament: We share bread and wine together, remembering Christ’s love and presence among us.

Atmosphere: Peaceful, prayerful, and friendly, with time to connect over refreshments afterwards.

Songs, stories, playtime and refreshments for parents/carers with babies and toddlers.

Tuesdays 1.30 - 3 pm at St Mark's Church (NN2 8EG) - school term time only.

Woodland Church meets monthly at Bradlaugh Fields for outdoor wandering, wondering and creativity for all ages.
Start outside St David’s Church at 2pm to walk over together or join us at the park gates by the play area at 2.15pm. Always involves tea and cakes together in the barn around 3.15pm.

Said Holy Communion followed by refreshments. You are welcome to stay on for Cafe Church from 11am

Join us for a simple meal together followed by worship and reflection.

Come and join us as all three churches—St David’s, St John the Baptist, and St Mark’s—gather together for Café Church.

Relaxed and welcoming: A chance to share breakfast and conversation around tables in a friendly atmosphere.

Food & fellowship: Breakfast is served from 10.30am, before the service begins at 11am.

Worship together: We explore faith in an informal style, with space for reflection, discussion, and prayer.

Holy Communion: For those who wish, there is also a short service of Said Holy Communion at 10am, followed by refreshments before Café Church begins.

This joint service is a wonderful opportunity to meet across our parish, enjoy good food, and grow together in faith and friendship.
