Bloom is our monthly evening meet‑up for women of working age, gathering in a local pub for relaxed conversation, laughter and genuine connection. There’s no agenda, no activities to prepare for and no pressure to perform - just a warm, welcoming space to unwind and build friendships at your own pace.

Bloom is especially shaped for those who can’t access daytime groups but still want community, companionship and a place to belong.

4 U community café is a central hub for the local residents of Kingsthorpe, Eastern Avenue. We are a non-profit making enterprise existing to serve the community, and any excess generated will be put back into the community.

We aim to provide local residents with an excellent café experience, serving beverages and breakfasts at a minimal cost. Run by volunteers from the local community

Woodland Church meets monthly at Bradlaugh Fields for outdoor wandering, wondering and creativity for all ages.
Start outside St David’s Church at 2pm to walk over together or join us at the park gates by the play area at 2.15pm. Always involves tea and cakes together in the barn around 3.15pm.

Kingsthorpe Mothers’ Union is a welcoming, community‑minded group rooted in friendship, faith, and practical support for families. We bring people together through regular meet‑ups, local projects, and opportunities to make a positive difference in Kingsthorpe. Join us at St Mark’s on Saturday 6th June from 7:00–9:00pm for our Summer Social - a relaxed evening of fellowship, conversation and plenty of sweet treats.

Tickets are £5 per person, which includes a selection of delicious summer desserts and soft drinks. Feel free to bring your own alcoholic drinks.

We’ll have light table activities to enjoy, and possibly a fun treasure hunt during the evening, but the focus is simply spending time together.

We’ll also be holding a raffle to help boost our fundraising. Everyone is welcome - come along, relax, and enjoy a summer evening with friends.

At joint services, our three churches—St David’s, St John the Baptist, and St Mark’s—come together as one community to share in Holy Communion. This joint service is a joyful expression of our unity in Christ and our shared mission in Kingsthorpe.

Worship together: Rooted in scripture, prayer, and sacrament, with hymns and music that bring our voices together in praise.

Community across parishes: A chance to meet friends old and new from across our three congregations, strengthening bonds of fellowship.

Sacrament shared: We gather around one table, receiving bread and wine as a sign of Christ’s love and presence among us.

Atmosphere: Welcoming, prayerful, and friendly, with refreshments afterwards to continue the fellowship.

Relaxed and welcoming: A chance to share breakfast and conversation around tables in a friendly atmosphere.

Food & fellowship: Breakfast is served from 10.30am, before the service begins at 11am.

Worship together: We explore faith in an informal style, with space for reflection, discussion, and prayer.

Holy Communion: For those who wish, there is also a short service of Said Holy Communion at 10am, followed by refreshments before Café Church begins.

This joint service is a wonderful opportunity to meet across our parish, enjoy good food, and grow together in faith and friendship.

We’re celebrating 150 years of the Mothers’ Union — a worldwide Christian movement supporting families and community life.

Our Kingsthorpe branch meets on the first Tuesday of each month at St David’s Church Hall, and new members are always welcome.

Join us for a special anniversary concert with the Northampton Cantare Singers on 18 July, 7pm at St Mark’s Church, NN2 8EG.
